About

Charlene Chang is a Taiwanese-born Australian artist currently working and living in Taichung, Taiwan. Charlene holds a Bachelor of Architecture (Planning and Design) from the University of Melbourne and has studied Contemporary jewellery at Alchimia Contemporary Jewellery School in Florence, Italy.

With a background in Architecture and contemporary jewellery, she often works at the intersection of the small and the vast of human living scale, and spans from mechanism to nature.

In her most recent work, with the continuation of her jewellery research topic, “When Architectural Space Becomes a Piece of Jewellery”, she expands her explorations and techniques towards the mechanism of the object in order to provide deeper engagements between the wearer and the worn.
